Bot Run
Bot Run from Erik Boismier on Vimeo.
I haven't done a whole lot of animation since I finished Escalation back in October so I decided to use something simple to get back on track. I also wanted to do something that I could use to include a few things I haven't done in a while, such as Z-Depth, a large camera pan and a pegged run cycle. I also got tired of watching it in silence so I added metal clangs for the footsteps.
I'm pretty happy with it. The Z-Depth turned out great, the peg animation is perfect (there is no skating at all with the feet, they plant perfectly), and although it's hard to see with the camera pan, there's a good squash and stretch to the head bobbing.
I've also included the run cycle on its own in the video below.

Raffi Does the Shuffle to a Bad Dubstep Remix of Banana Phone
Exactly what it says on the tin. I happened to be watching a bunch of VSauce videos on YouTube and learned about wubmachine.com which auto-generates dubstep remixes of whatever songs you put in. Instantly, I had this idea.

TMNT Tribute
Well, with a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series underway, I decided to do up my own little tribute to the franchise.
So that's that. I've actually got a small, goofy animation coming in the next post. Stay tuned.
