Entering The Dark Woods

After getting a feel for digital painting, I wanted to do something where I could combine it with the crisp vector style I had been using.  This image popped into my head earlier today and it seemed perfect for the job.

Time-Lapse: The Raven, with Reading

Below is a time-lapse video of me painting my tribute to The Raven.  Unlike my previous time-lapse videos, this one includes audio.  In addition to doing the painting, I also recorded myself doing a reading of the poem.  I wanted to do this much sooner but I've been too busy with all the various things I call life to find some time to do a recording session.

Don't worry, I still really enjoy doing my vector art, but I'm having some fun with digital painting as well.  I've been slowly trying to memorize Poe's classic poem for a few months now (it usually doesn't take me this long to memorize anything, especially when it rhymes, but there's just a few lines that keep dropping from my memory) and I wanted to create some sort of tribute to it.

Alright, got this put together after jumping through some hoops with multiple programs.  I'll be working on keeping proper aspect ratios with future videos I do of this nature.

I Am The Night

I made this drawing specifically to experiment with some new screen-recording software I acquired.  I recorded the whole process from rough gesture to final colouring and I'm planning to post time-lapse footage of it on youtube which I will likely afterwards post here, assuming nothing goes wrong.
